Girls’ soccer stars named

ADDISON COUNTY — Athletes from the Middlebury, Mount Abraham, Vergennes and Otter Valley union high school girls’ soccer team have received All-State honors from Division II or III or earned First or Second Team All-Star recognition from either the Lake Division or the Southern Vermont League B Division.
Earning D-II All-State honors were Tiger midfielder Ivy Doran, Eagle striker/defender Savannah Scrodin, and Otter forward Mia Politano.
From the Commodores, midfielder Hannah Kelly and defender Ema Gernander made the D-III All-State Team.
Receiving Lake Division First-Team Honors from MUHS were Doran, defender Mardi Horne, goalie Audrey Schnoor, and midfielder/striker Hannah Turner. From Mount Abe, defender/forward Ellie Ginsburg joined Scrodin on the Lake First Team, and from VUHS both Gernander and Kelly received First Team Lake Honors.
Making the SVL B Division First Team were Politano and Otter Valley defender Mallory Lufkin.
Earning recognition on the Lake Division Second Team were five Commodores, striker Sydney Weber, goalie Kate Gosliga, forward Allie Croke, and defenders Lauren Curtis and Ella Hameline; three Tigers, midfielder/forwards Sophie Larocque and Lia Robinson and defenders Zoe Noble and Rhys Pitner; and Eagle midfielder Sadie Thomas.
Three Otters earned spots on SVL B Division Second Team, midfielder/forward Sarah Calvin, goalie Linnea Faulkner, and defender Brielle Mackie.
