Enter the Photo Art Challenge at Ilsley
MIDDLEBURY — Ilsley Public Library is holding a Photo Art Challenge from now until Feb. 14. The contest has three challenges and three chances to win. Winners will have their work printed and mounted by the library for an exhibit in its lobby in March 2021. Two adult and two youth (18 and under) winners will be chosen for each challenge. The rules are simple: One entry per person per session, amateurs only, and original work.
Challenge 1, “The Beauty of Nature,” closes on Oct. 24. Submit your interpretation of beauty in the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features of the earth, as opposed to humans or human creations.
Challenge 2, “Our Town” is accepting submission from Nov. 2-Dec. 17. What does Middlebury mean to you and how do you feel about our community? Submit an image that represents that feeling. For this challenge manipulated images are being accepted.
Challenge 3, “We Are Family” is accepting submissions from Jan.4-Feb. 14. What is a family? How does family make you feel? Submit an image that represents your idea of family.
Guest judges are Trent Campbell, former Addison Independent photographer; Jason Duquette-Hoffman, amateur photographer; and Cyndi Palmer, family portrait photographer. To learn more or to submit an entry contact Renee, [email protected].
