BRANDON — June McQueen, age 88, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, at home in Brandon, Vt.
June was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., to Robert and Mary Moulton in Sept. 1931. She graduated in 1952 from Mary Immaculate Hospital School of Nursing in Jamaica, N.Y. She met her husband Roger Bruce McQueen on a blind date and married him in April 1956, raising three sons and two daughters in Ronkonkoma, N.Y. and then Scottsdale, Ariz. June enjoyed planning vacations, using her computer, and taking drives in the car. Many people described June as “one of the nicest people” they had ever met.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; brothers, Bobby and Billy Moulton; and twin grandsons Bradley and Eric McQueen. She is survived by her children Roger McQueen and wife Rita; Kevin McQueen; Virginia McQueen; Teresa Taylor; and Nancy Bart and husband Steven. Surviving grandchildren are Chella, Christie, Matthew, Samantha, Justin, Shelby, Ian, Grace, Henry and Evelyn, along with 10 great-grandchildren.
A future, private graveside service and burial will take place when she joins her spouse at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, Vt.
