Middlebury Police Log: Man cited for DUI after a traffic stop
MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Micah Pratt, 35, of Middlebury for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 7 South on March 9.
Police said they measured Pratt’s blood-alcohol content at 0.108%; the legal limit for driving is 0.08.
In other action last week, Middlebury police:
• Cited Andrew Neil, 47, of Middlebury for driving with a criminally suspended license on Foote Street on March 9.
• Cited Lonny McCray Jr., 32, of Salisbury for driving with a criminally suspended license on Washington Street on March 9.
• Were informed that someone had vandalized a vehicle that was parked off Exchange Street on March 9.
• Were informed of an apparent fight at the intersection of College and Weybridge streets on March 10. Police said no one was at that location upon their arrival.
• Received a report that a person attempted to use a fake ID to buy alcohol at the Hannaford Supermarket on March 10.
• Ticketed a man who used a fake ID to try and buy alcohol at Hannaford Supermarket on March 10.
• Responded to a report of a drunken woman in the Court Street area on March 11. Police said Middlebury Regional EMS took the woman to Porter Hospital after she complained of experiencing pain.
• Were informed of the theft of windshield wipers from a vehicle parked off Cedar Court on March 11.
• Received a complaint on March 11 about “inappropriate photos” that had been posted on a local student’s social media site.
• Told some Middlebury College students to get off of Route 7 while they were walking near the intersection of Middle Road on March 11.
• Responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a Case Street residence on March 12.
• Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS with an elderly man who had fallen outside of the library on March 12.
• Were informed of a broken window at the former St. Mary’s School building on Shannon Street on March 12. Police said the case is under investigation.
• Received a report of a man and woman having an argument in a car in a Court Street driveway on March 12. The vehicle had left when police arrived at the scene.
• Assisted Vermont State Police with an impaired man at Porter Hospital on March 12.
• Investigated a report of a man who had allegedly violated a restraining order on March 13.
• Assisted staff at The Residence at Otter Creek with a resident who was “behaving strangely” on March 13.
• Investigated a report of a man holding a rifle while standing in the South Village Green area on March 14. Police said the man had a lock through the chamber of his rifle and was waiting for a ride to go hunting.
• Were informed on March 14 that someone had vandalized the Noonie’s Deli delivery vehicle. The matter remains under investigation.
• Responded to a report of a drunken person in the South Pleasant Street neighborhood on March 15. Police said the person was taken to Porter Hospital for treatment of a minor injury.
