Langrock, Sperry & Wool hire two from county

WILLIAM A. VASILIOU, LEFT, and Suzanna C. Miller have joined the law firm Langrock Sperry & Wool LLP.

BURLINGTON — The law firm Langrock Sperry & Wool LLP recently announced that two Addison County attorneys Suzanna C. Miller and William A. Vasiliou have joined the firm. That brings the business’s team up to 29.
Miller joined the firm as an associate in December. She graduated from the New School for Social Research and received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
Her practice focuses on estate planning, and trust and probate estate administration. Prior to moving to Vermont, Miller worked in both large and small law firms in New York City in the fields of estate planning and administration, litigation and commercial real estate. Following law school, she clerked for two years for Hon. Ed Carnes of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
A California native, Suzanna Miller moved to Vermont in 2005. She co-founded Vermont Cookie Love in North Ferrisburgh in 2006, which she grew from a tent at the Shelburne Farmer’s market to a thriving local brand, while simultaneously practicing New York law remotely, and raising two young children. She lives in North Ferrisburgh with her two teenage children.
Vasiliou joined Langrock as an associate this past August after owning and operating his own firm. He was also a partner in one of Northeast Ohio’s prominent criminal defense firms. He graduated from Wheaton College and earned his M.B.A. at the University of Akron College of Business and his law degree at the University of Akron School of Law.
Vasiliou is a trial attorney, with a focus on criminal defense, personal injury cases and family law. He also has criminal and civil appellate experience in several of Ohio’s intermediate courts of appeal and he plans on expanding this area of his practice to the Vermont Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Vasiliou has served as lead or co-counsel in multiple criminal jury trials, numerous criminal and civil appeals, and countless pretrial motion hearings, as well as family court bench trials. He is a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College, where he spent a month in Dubois, Wyo., refining and improving his trial lawyer skills. He lives in Vergennes with his wife.
The 29 attorneys of Langrock Sperry & Wool solve legal problems for individuals and businesses, across a wide range of practice areas. With offices in Burlington and Middlebury, the firm has been operating since 1960.
