Man robs Champlain Farms, assaults clerk
MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police this morning continue to look for a man who assaulted a clerk at the Champlain Farms store at 25 Court St. in Middlebury at around 10:17 p.m. this past Friday, Dec. 13, and took off with an undetermined amount of cash.
Police said the suspect assaulted the store clerk with a “blunt object.” The clerk was taken to Porter Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Police said the suspect was wearing a white/black zip-up hoodie sweatshirt with a “Fox Racing” logo on the left chest, dark colored pants, tan shoes, dark colored gloves and possibly a light-blue bandana covering his face.
