Bristol lights up for annual solstice celebration

FIRE PERFORMERS FROM Cirque de Fuego will kick off the Lumen Celebration of Fire and Light on the Bristol town green at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.

BRISTOL — Bristol will once again host the Lumen Celebration of Fire and Light. Experience fire performers, a lighted walk down Main Street, and fire pits at Tandem and Vermont Tree Goods on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 4:30-9:30 p.m.
There will be a holiday lantern workshop at 4:30 p.m. in Holley Hall. All ages are welcome. Supplies are provided for this free event.
Six fire performers from Cirque de Fuego will start things off on the town green at 5:30 p.m. Then at 6 p.m. event-goers will have a lighted walk down Bristol’s Main Street to the fire pits at Tandem and Vermont Tree Goods for hot drinks, tasty eats and handmade s’mores kits from lu.lu. The night will wrap up at Hatch 31 with music and late night revelry.
“Lumen has been among our favorite shows for the past few years,” said Cirque de Fuego leaders Kim and Chris Cleary. “It’s usually snowy and beautifully lit, which just adds to the magic of the evening. It really is such a special event.”
The Lumen Celebration of Fire and Light is part of the month-long Cool Yule celebration and is sponsored by Bristol CORE and Tandem.
