In soccer, Eagle boys win; OV teams topped

ADDISON COUNTY — In local high school soccer earlier this week, the Mount Abraham boys remained undefeated, the Otter Valley girls dropped a close home game, and the OV boys lost on the road.
The Vergennes and Mount Abe girls played games on Wednesday after the deadline for this issue. The Middlebury girls were idle, and the MUHS boys visited VUHS; see story on Page 1B.
EAGLE BOYS
On Tuesday the Eagle boys blanked host Missisquoi, 3-0, as Branden Reynolds added two more goals to his early-season scoring binge. Mount Abe as a whole has scored 15 goals in three games.
The Eagles will put their 3-0 record on the line at home on Saturday at 1 p.m. vs. Division I Colchester.
OV GIRLS
On Tuesday the Otter girls took a 2-0 first-half lead on goals by Olivia White and Elena Politano, but visiting Woodstock netted three unanswered goals in the second half to prevail, 3-2. OV dropped to 1-2.
OV BOYS
Host Woodstock (2-2) dropped the OV boys, 4-0, on Monday as Wasp Tommy Bissillion recorded a hat trick. The 0-3 Otters were looking to break into the win column when they hosted Springfield on Wednesday.
