Letter to the editor: Thanks to many, Mission Concert was a hit

The Mission Concert Committee of the Vergennes Congregational Church wishes to thank the many talented performers, sponsors and people of Addison County who made the 3rd annual mission concert on Sunday, Dec. 9, such a success. The melodious sounds of woodwinds, fiddles, guitars, ukuleles, keyboards and beautiful voices filled the church sanctuary for two hours and helped raise nearly $4,600 to help local neighbors in need.
Special thanks to performers Chris Wyckoff, Windsong Woodwind Quintet, Bill Ellis and Julie Coffey, Barry King, Green Mountain Uke Slingers, and Honey in the Hive for their musical contributions to a festive day.
Monies raised are distributed throughout the year from the Congregational Church Mission Fund to help with emergency needs for fuel, rent assistance, electricity, medications, food and other necessities. Requests for financial help can be directed at any time by phone at 877-2435. The Congregational Church Fund coordinates with other Vergennes area organizations to help meet local mission needs all year long.
