Milton outscores Mount Abe boys soccer

BRISTOL — Visiting Milton on Tuesday scored three first-half goals and hung on for a 3-2 victory over the Mount Abraham Union High School boys’ soccer team.
Milton edged over .500 at 3-2-2, and the Eagles dropped to 2-4-1 after the Lake Division result.
Zach Logan gave Milton the lead in the ninth minute. After Weston Allred equalized for the Eagles five minutes later, Yellowjackets Ethan Jones and Dick Desouza both capitalized on loose balls to put their team up at the break.
The Eagles held Milton to one shot on goal in the second half, but only Silas Burgess found the net for Mount Abe, in the 56th minute.
Eagle goalie Ethan DeWitt stopped seven shots, and Milton’s Sean Dooley made eight saves.
