Middlebury burn season extended
April 29, 2018
MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury selectboard has agreed to extend the community’s “burn season” to Sunday, May 6, in light of a large number of burn-permit requests fielded in recent days by the Middlebury Police Department.
The burn season, by ordinance, ended the third Sunday in April. That coincided with a sizable storm that added to residents’ yard debris, so town officials agreed to the extension for residents who wished to seek burn permits.
