Attempted robbery in Bristol on Saturday
BRISTOL — Bristol police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who allegedly tried to rob the National Bank of Middlebury branch on Main Street in Bristol this past Saturday, Jan. 13.
Police allege the woman entered the bank at around 11:10 a.m. and presented to a teller a note demanding money. Authorities said the woman fled the scene without any money, and was last seen leaving the area in what was described as a green, older-model Subaru Imprezza.
The woman was described as being around 5 feet, five inches tall, wearing a heavy coat with a red and dark colored checkered pattern, as well as a baseball style hat, with beanie and hoody.
Police believe the woman might be the same person who successfully demanded cash that same morning at the TD Bank in Richmond, Vt.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Bristol Police Department at 453-2533.
