SALISBURY — The Salisbury Community School has 27 pairs of snowshoes that families may borrow on the weekends. Suggested donation is $5 a pair. Contact Ms. Sylvestri in the school library to reserve your pairs.
The school also has funds available to help families purchase winter clothing for their children. Contact the school at 802-352-4291.
School will be closed Monday, January 15 for the Martin Luther King holiday.
Petitions for town offices to be elected at the town meeting in March are available at the town office. Positions available are auditor, one year of a two-year unexpired term; auditor, two years of a three-year unexpired term; auditor, two year term; collector of delinquent taxes, one year term; First constable, one year; Grand juror, one year; Lister, one year of a year unexpired term; lister, three year term; Moderator, one year; selectboard, two years; selectboard, three years; town agent, one year; town clerk, one year.
Petitions are due Jan. 29, at 5 p.m. and need nine signatures of registered voters. It is best to collect several extra signatures in the event some are not registered voters.
