LaDuc nets 50th win as Devil’s Bowl ends year

WEST HAVEN — Orwell’s Tim LaDuc cemented his place in the Devil’s Bowl Speedway record books on Sunday by winning the 50th feature race of his career at the track, leading wire-to-wire in a 29-lap open-competition dirt-track event for Sportsman Modifieds.
With the win in the year’s final night of racing at Devil’s Bowl, LaDuc moved into second place in the track’s career win list. He topped a field including several local drivers: Whiting’s Jimmy Ryan was third, Orwell’s Lacey Hanson was 11th, and Brandon’s Vince Quenneville Jr. took 12th.
In the 29-lap Pro Stock Feature New York driver Kenny Martin Jr. prevailed. Benson’s Jeff Washburn finished ninth in a big field.
Chris Murray of Fair Haven won the 20-lap Super Stock Feature. Cornwall’s Garrett Given took fifth, and Orwell’s Ronnie Alger finished 10th.
South Royalton’s Jesse Durkee claimed the 20-lap Mini Stock Feature. Brandon’s Dakota Desabrais and Monkton’s Jake Barrows finished eighth and 11th, respectively.
New York’s Bill Fountain won the 50-lap Enduro Series Feature. Monkton’s Barrows took fourth in that race.
