Bixby offering genealogy tips and tricks
VERGENNES — Join local genealogist Ann Watson of Family Pictures Genealogy on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Bixby Library for her workshop “Jump Start Your Genealogy Research: Tips and Tricks the Professionals Use.” This is your opportunity to learn research skills from a professional genealogist.
Whether you are just getting started on your family history or have hit a “brick wall,” this workshop will help you be more successful with your research. Watson will share useful strategies, tips, and tricks, and she will answer your questions, if you have them.
There will also be an opportunity to work on your research and consult with Watson during the program. The library will set up individual workstations, but if you have your own, please bring a laptop for your work and to follow along with some of the instructional topics.
The Program is free of charge but a minimum number of participants are required to run it. Please register at bixbylibrary.org/genealogy-ann-watson-registration/ or contact Adult Services Librarian Muir Haman at 802-877-2211 with registrations or questions.
Watson, M.Ed., holds a Certificate of Study from the Boston University Genealogical Research Program. She is a member of the National Genealogical Society and can be found at familypicturesgenealogy.com.
