Milk and Honey Quilters to meet May 23

MIDDLEBURY — The Milk and Honey Quilters’ Guild will host Beth Helfter and her trunk show, “Perfection is Over-rated,” on May 23, from 7-9 p.m. at the American Legion, 49 Wilson Rd.
The show is a lively presentation of her quilt-making journey. Helfter will discuss her thoughts on the design process as it unfolds in 20-minute increments in the midst of the chaos of running a home and raising three small children. She will also talk about how a quilt can be a thing of beauty even without matching seams and perfect points, and the many joys of bringing her designs to the masses, discovering that they often can become converts to the freeing idea that “perfection is overrated.”
Guest fee is $5.
