Note of appreciation: Thanks to all helpers in the Kelly Boe Ride

The second Kelly Boe Memorial Bike Ride was held on Monday, May 8.
Thank you to the Middlebury Safe Routes biking folks for help organizing and staffing the ride. A lot of work went in behind the scenes, especially by Laura Asermily. Thank you to Don Keeler, Addison County Sheriff, for leading the caravan of riders and to the Middlebury police for manning the route to ensure a safe ride for all. Thanks to Addison Central School District Superintendent Peter Burrows for being a lead rider and to MUHS Activities Director Sean Farrell for support at the high school where the ride began and ended.
Special thanks to all the riders who braved the chilly and drizzly weather to participate including the MUHS girls’ lacrosse team, who rode as a team.
This event is very special to my family as a way to honor my late husband, Kelly, and to highlight bike safety. I am looking forward to the 2018 memorial ride.
Kathy Boe, Middlebury
