MUHS girls’s hockey falls at Beekmantown

BEEKMANTOWN, N.Y. — Host Beekmantown, N.Y., on Monday dealt the Middlebury Union High School girls’ hockey team its second loss of the season — and second straight setback — by a 5-1 tally. The Tigers were coming off a Saturday loss at Division I rival Essex.
Helen Anderson gave the Tigers the lead with a first-period goal before the hosts took charge. Tiger goalies Katie Billings (16) and Rowan Hendy (15) combined for 31 saves.
The Tigers took a 7-2-1 record into a game scheduled in Spaulding on Wednesday night, and then are set to host Beekmantown at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
