Letter to the editor: Scheu viewed as strategic thinker, problem solver

By now, you know about the many ways Robin Scheu has served and continues to serve the Middlebury community. I want to speak to why I supported Robin from the moment she announced her campaign to represent Middlebury residents in the legislature, driving her around as she went door-to-door in the heat of August.
I have known Robin for sixteen years. My experience with her has been when she works with groups who are trying to create a vision and mission, trying to develop a strategy, to set goals and to accomplish something in community.
So, I envision Robin being a person in the State House who will think strategically about the challenges we face in Vermont and then she will work with others to move Vermont forward — leaving no one out, leaving no one behind.
She will ask questions, listen carefully to what she hears from different viewpoints, recognize that most issues aren’t black and white, but complex and nuanced. She will collaborate with others and build good relationships.
Robin is a problem solver and strategic thinker. I have heard her say that what calls her to run for the legislature is that she cares very much about our community and this amazing state.
