Bristol Police Log: Bristol woman cited again for violation of conditions
BRISTOL — At approximately 11:15 p.m. last Saturday, Bristol police again arrested Bristol resident Dale Alice Vanleuven, 55, and cited her for violating court-ordered conditions of release.
An officer was dispatched to Vanleuven’s address on West Pleasant Street to investigate a 911 hang-up call. Once there, the officer found Vanleuven to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.291 percent (for the sake of comparison, the legal limit for driving is 0.08 percent). Vanleuven’s conditions of release for what the Bristol Police Chief Kevin Gibbs described in a press release as “numerous active criminal proceedings against her,” include no alcohol.
On Sept. 2, Bristol police arrested Vanleuven and cited her for obstructing justice, resisting arrest, petit larceny and unlawful trespass. Police report that these allegations came after evidence was found on Sept. 1 that Vanleuven had stolen for her neighbor, and then that night repeatedly went to the neighbor’s home and harassed and threatened the neighbor.
Vanleuven was also arrested Sept. 11 for violating a condition of release that barred her from having contact with a neighbor.
After this past Saturday’s arrest, police lodged Vanleuven at the Chittenden Regional Corrections Facility in South Burlington. Additional conditions were ordered by the court.
Vanleuven is scheduled to answer the most recent charge in Addison County Superior Court, criminal division, on Oct. 17.
