Champs don’t pass road TEST

ESSEX — The host Town of Essex Swim Team defeated the Vergennes Champs, 351-140, in Thursday Champlain Valley Swim League action.
Highlighting the Champs efforts was under-8 swimmer Will Clark, who won three races. Nathan Viera won two U-14 boys races, and Allison Croke, Amelia Lamothe and Grace LeBeau earned one victory apiece.
The Champs’ U-10 and U-14 girls’ relay teams swept both the medley and freestyle races to account for all the Vergennes relay victories.
Champs earning top-three finishes in individual events and scoring points for their team were:
