Meet the MUMS principal candidate today

MIDDLEBURY — Addison Central Supervisory Union officials have confirmed that Leicester resident and current Rutland Middle School Principal Kristin Holsman-Francoeur is the lone finalist for the top administrative post at Middlebury Union Middle School.
The UD-3 school board is expected to meet next week to consider Holsman-Francoeur’s candidacy. She would replace current MUMS Principal Patrick Reen, who is leaving this summer to take the job of superintendent of the Addison Northeast Supervisory Union in Bristol.
Holsman-Francoeur was scheduled to spend all of Thursday, May 12, at the school, visiting with teachers, staff, students and parents. Parents and other interested community members have an opportunity to meet and talk with Holsman-Francoer today from 1-1:45 p.m. in Room 218 at MUMS.
Middlebury Union Middle School serves students in grades 7 and 8 in the ACSU-member towns of Bridport, Cornwall, Middlebury, Ripton, Salisbury, Shoreham and Weybridge.
The Independent will publish a complete story about Holsman-Francoeur in its Thursday, May 19 issue, should she be offered — and accept — the MUMS principalship prior to deadline.
