Teen group to host Spring Thaw gala

MIDDLEBURY — Addison Central Teens will hold its second annual Spring Thaw gala and raffle on Saturday, April 9, from 7-10 p.m. at Carol’s Hungry Mind Café in Middlebury. Middlebury’s O’hAnleigh will provide the music.
Attendees can enjoy farm-to-table hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Neil Solis of Hen of the Wood in Burlington, and limited free samples of some of Vermont’s finest spirits, beers and wines, including Heady Topper, and craft beverages from such notable establishments as the Appalachian Gap Distillery, Lost Nation Brewing, Frost Beer Works, Otter Creek Brewery and Lincoln Peak Winery.
The event includes a basket raffle featuring hundreds of dollars of local goods, services and gift certificates. Five themed baskets are up for grabs: Get Active, Vermont Made, Eat Out/Take Out, Be Young/Have Fun and Buy Local. Tickets are $3 each or two for $5.
Addison Central Teens is helping local youth by providing crucial programming and building connections between young people, adults and the larger community. ACT’s efforts are fostering a sense of responsibility, generating inclusion and creating joy in young people.
Tickets to the event are $25 and can be purchased online at addisonteens.com/spring-thaw. Organizers encourage people to buy their tickets early; the Spring Thaw sold out last year.
