Local high school boys’ hoop teams fall to visitors
ADDISON COUNTY — In local high school boys’ basketball games, all played on this past Wednesday, Middlebury, Otter Valley and Mount Abraham all came up short.
OTTERS
Visiting Woodstock got nine three-pointers and 34 points from Dylan McDonough in a 70-46 victory over OV. The Wasps moved to 4-4, while OV dropped to 2-7. Kai Norwood scored 18 to lead the Otters, who lost their sixth straight heading into games at Vergennes on Monday and at home vs. MUHS on Tuesday.
EAGLES
Host Mill River placed four players in double figures, topped by Mike Morgan’s 19 points, in a 74-32 victory over the 0-8 Eagles. Coach Martin Clark said the Eagles were shorthanded due to injury and illness and did not shoot well. Jackson Counter scored six, andCaleb Bonvouloir added five points.
MRU will visit Mount Abe on Monday, followed by VUHS on Wednesday.
TIGERS
Host BFA-St. Albans dealt MUHS a 70-38 setback, dropping MUHS to 1-5 heading into a Tuesday game at OV. Details were unavailable. The Bobwhites improved to 3-4.
