MIDDLEBURY — John Ryan Stice, a 26-year-old resident of Winchester, Kentucky, has turned himself in to Vermont State Police based on an active arrest warrant that had been issued against him last week in connection with allegations that he had threatened (by phone) two workers at the Middlebury office of the Department of Children & Families (DCF) on Dec. 11.
Stice is currently involved in a custody dispute in which DCF has involvement, according to state police.
Stice was driven from Kentucky nonstop to Vermont and he arrived at the New Haven State Police barracks on Dec. 26, where he was taken into custody without incident, according to authorities.
Police said Stice was lodged on $100,000 bail at the Chittenden County Correctional Center. He is due to be arraigned in Addison Superior Court, criminal division, on Dec. 29, according to police.
