Lincoln to host information on Vermont health exchange enrollment

LINCOLN — The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity is holding a free Vermont Health Connect enrollment event at the Lincoln Library on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 5-8 p.m.
Attendees will meet with an experienced Navigator to get in-person information and support in enrolling for health insurance coverage. Most Vermonters are eligible for reductions to premium and out-of-pocket costs when they apply.
For many Vermonters, the cost of not having coverage in 2016 will be more than the cost of basic coverage through Vermont Health Connect, due to the availability of subsidies and the increasing federal tax fee for not being insured.
Open enrollment ends Jan. 31 but the deadline to enroll or renew coverage for Jan. 1 is Dec. 15. Email [email protected] or call 860-1417, ext. 115, for more information about this event or free Navigator services.
