Terriers edge Otter Valley field hockey, 1-0
BELLOWS FALLS — Host Bellows Falls on Tuesday dealt the Otter Valley Union High School field hockey team its first loss of season, 1-0 in overtime.
Terrier Molly Kelly scored a minute into the extra session to lift her team to the victory in what was a defensive battle. The Terriers held a 9-6 edge in corners, but only a 4-2 edge in shots on goal. OV goalie Myliah McDonough and her BF counterpart were each credited with two saves.
The Terriers improved to 2-0-1. OV coach Stacey Edmunds-Brickell said Meghan Hallett and Maia Edmunds played well for her 2-1-1 Otters, who host Woodstock at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
