OV field hockey tops Mount Anthony, 1-0

BRANDON — On this past Wednesday the Otter Valley Union High School field hockey team defeated host Mount Anthony, 1-0, to run the Otters’ winning streak to three games after a season-opening setback.
Courtney Bushey scored the only goal about 12 minutes into the game, with an assist from Maia Edmunds.
Patriot goalie Kristen Andrews was credited with 16 saves, including denying Allison Lowell’s second-half penalty stroke, while OV goalie Myliah McDonough stopped five shots. MAU earned a 10-8 advantage in penalty corners despite OV’s big advantage in shots on goal.
Next up for the 3-1 Otters is a game at Fair Haven on Tuesday.
