Visiting Essex splashes past Middlebury Panthers

MIDDLEBURY — The visiting Town of Essex Swim Team outpointed the Middlebury Panthers, 280-212, in Tuesday Champlain Valley Swim League action.
TEST swept to wins in all the individual 12-and-under, U-14 and U-18 boys’ races as Jake McIntyre, Jacob Hammond and Andrew Gadbois prevailed in three races apiece, respectively, in those age groups.
Panther Thomas Denton led his team with three U-10 boys’ victories, while three Panthers won two races apiece: Ellie Ross and Mary Ann Eastman combined to sweep the U-12 girls’ events, and Annie Bolton prevailed in two girls’ U-14 races.
Also posting individual wins for Middlebury were Ella Tucker, Meghan Denton, Holly Staats, Patrick Stone and Dylan Stowe.
