Middlebury residents:
Again, Middlebury College tries to creep further into town. Have you any idea how much property they have appropriated? Before even thinking of voting for losing a marvelous classic building and giving up more land, get a list of what Middlebury College owns in town without being taxed.
Trying to squeeze the town property further into a small space behind the library is ridiculous — no parking, period, and the town gets smaller.
Keep the college crawl at bay. They have enough. Vote to keep the municipal building and fix it up.
The Addison Independent should list all the tax-free property the college owns that in turn costs Middlebury property owners, including me, increased taxes.
The squeeze is on. Resist.
