In football, Eagles fall to powerful Mill River

EAST CLARENDON — Host Mill River rode a fast start to a 44-14 victory over the Mount Abraham football team on Saturday. They will host Poultney on Saturday afternoon.
The Minutemen took a 23-0 lead early on two offensive touchdowns, a field goal, and a 25-yard interception return. They also picked off an Eagle pass inside their 10 to snuff out an early Mount Abe threat.
