The Legislature adjourned last week after passing major legislation to advance the transformation of our PK-12 education system.
The floors are a little cleaner and the eyes are a little brighter as the both the Vermont Senate and the House of Representatives begin their second year of the biennium.
I am in complete agreement that 100% renewable energy is a must. But a major flaw in H.289 threatens Vermont renewable energy jobs and the ability of Vermonters to participate in the benefits of community solar power projects.
Community solar is simply the ability for an individual to participate in solar usage if their own lot or circumstances prevent them from being able to place any solar arrays of their own.
