Tri-Town OKs $2 million bond

A proposed $2.1 million repair plan received resounding support.

Residents of Addison, Bridport and Shoreham on Tuesday will vote on a $2.1 million bond to make major repairs to Tri-Town Water District infrastructure.

The Tri-Town Water District Board acknowledges that the district serving Bridport, Addison and Shoreham undercharged some customers for two years, but it has decided not to ask those customers to make up for those underpayments now.

It’s rarely the right call to withhold information from the public about operational shortcomings of a public service.
