World-class, all-female trio to play stunning chamber music program

Enduring favorite cellist Sophie Shao returns to open the 105th season of the Middlebury College Performing Arts Series with an accomplished, all-female ensemble on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Applauded by the New York Times for her “eloquent, powerful” interpretations, world-renowned cellist Sophie Shao has a gift for assembling impromptu chamber ensembles that are brimming with passion and talent.

The extraordinary cellist Sophie Shao returns to the Mahaney Arts Center on Friday, April 21, for a concert highlighting the work of Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Performances by Sophie Shao, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Zoë Keating will now be streamed only.
