Panther softball exits NCAA tournament

Panther softball ended the 2026 season 35-10 after losing in the NCAA regional final.

Both the Eagle and Tiger girls’ lax teams are amidst dominant seasons.

The combined boys’ lacrosse team with players from Mount Abraham and Vergennes union high schools hit a five-game winning streak.

Mt. Abe and VUHS athletes competed at Milton and Champlain Valley Union this past week.

MUHS baseball is 5-1 with games on tap for the coming week.

The road forward likely means a third encounter this season with Tufts, who the Panthers have lost to twice this year.

The Middlebury College men’s baseball team finished the regular season 19-12. Their opponent, Bowdoin, enters the three game quarterfinal series 15-19.

All three local high school teams had athletes place in the top three during meets on Tuesday night.

The Tigers are now 1-2 this season.

The Panthers defeat the Saints 14-8 on Tuesday, April 7, in Alumni Stadium.
