MONTPELIER — No. 3 Montpelier defeated the visiting No. 6 Middlebury Union High School boys’ basketball team, 72-59, in a Division II quarterfinal. The Solons improved to 18-3, while the Tigers completed another winning season at 12-10. Jonah Cattaneo led Montpelier with 26 points, and Ben Gambill added 15 points.
