Sheriff’s Log: Deputies stop a speeding car in Leicester

Between May 3 and 9, the Addison County Sheriff’s Department completed patrols in multiple towns and stopped 65 vehicles for various motor vehicle violations.

Deputies arrested Gabriel Mattison, 29, of Leicester after, authorities allege, he drove off the road on Route 30 in Cornwall and crashed into mailboxes and other private property.

An Addison County Sheriff’s Department deputy stopped by a daycare in Middlebury on March 10 and spoke to the kids there. Later in the week, on March 13, a deputy spoke during Career Day activities at Otter Valley Union High School in Brandon.
