Video: Elementary schoolers get ‘Courageous’ with Shakespeare

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=0db83uHO1W4 MIDDLEBURY — Fifth- and sixth-graders from Ripton, Salisbury, Cornwall and Shoreham will take to the Town Hall Theater stage Thursday night to perform Shakespeare’s Henry IV — battling with broadswords and singing rock anthems they wrote themselves. It’s all part of an innovative literacy curriculum called Courageous Stage. Earlier this year Middlebury Underground spent time with the kids and educators to produce this video about the program.
