MIDDLEBURY — “When I feed the poor, they call me a saint, but when I ask why the poor are hungry, they call me a communist.” This quote, attributed to Brazilian Catholic archbishop Dom Hélder Câmara, came up last week during a meeting of Privilege & Poverty interns at Middlebury College.
