Middlebury Police Log: Local man cited for trespassing

Middlebury police received a report about baby foxes playing in the middle of Foote Street on April 27.

In five different instances recently, VSP cited locals for driving under the influence.

The sheriff and three deputies participated in Green Up Day.

In police activity between March 29 and April 18, Bristol police completed 73 foot patrols, conducted 22 traffic stops and checked security at Mount Abraham Union High School 21 times, at Bristol Elementary School 22 times and at local businesses 13 times … (read more)

Only one of the vehicles had items — change and a hunting knife — stolen.

Middlebury police were called to a multi-person fight in the South Pleasant Street area on April 16

There was damage to the entranceway of the convenience store, plus the vehicle that crashed was deemed a total loss.

Last week Vergennes police personnel pulled a Colchester man over for using a cellphone while driving that led to an arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. 

Bristol police on March 28 were told of a vehicle that was being driven erratically on West Street.
