The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) has awarded a $500,000 grant to the town of Middlebury to help further its plan to install the proposed 0.52-mile sidewalk and shared-use path on Exchange Street.
A 13-year effort to construct a 2,730-foot, concrete-and-asphalt pathway along the west side of Exchange Street is finally gaining momentum.
