MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Timothy E. Edwards Jr., 38, of Ripton, for disorderly conduct, a hate crime, violating his conditions of release, and resisting arrest, following an incident near the pavilion off Mary Hogan Drive at around 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 17. Police said the hate crime citation stemmed from allegations that Edwards had used racial slurs while shouting at people in the area.
