Middlebury College Museum of Art opens new exhibits

This exhibit consists of 50 works of mixed-media collage, assemblage on wood panels, and sculpture that reimagine safe destinations for the Black American traveler during the mid-20th century.

“Tossed” brings together — both from Middlebury’s collection and from other private and public collections — nearly 20 works that make use of discarded materials.

Urban Cadence tells the multifaceted stories of two urban environments — Lagos, Nigeria and Johannesburg, South Africa — experienced through the artistic expressions of photography and video.

As we emerge into the spring of 2022, the Museum of Art announced that the public will be welcomed into the newly arranged museum beginning April 15.
