Claire Corkins “Ways of Seeing” article (p. 4A, May 16), regarding a family trip to Ireland, brought back fond memories of my own trips there. Her perspective on learning from other countries certainly echoes Ralph Nader’s similar wisdom.

I want to respond to Angelo’s Feb. 15 editorial regarding our senators’ and representative’s stand on funding more aid to Israel.
I’ll say that, in my estimation, 15 years is way too young for a cat to die from health problems.
Rustan Swenson, in a Feb. 23, letter to the editor, opened up a major can of worms by encouraging us to buy American-made vehicles on Presidents’ Day.
I am very tired of hearing the claims of vegans about the amazing benefits of eating a diet free of meat and animal products.
