Bristol man part of inauguration protest

Thousands convened in the nation’s capital a couple of days before last week’s presidential inauguration to call for their rights. Organizers of the “People’s March” spanned a variety of interest groups, including ones dedicated to Constitution rights, rule of law, justice, Black people, women and many others.

After Phil Scott was sworn in as governor of Vermont for the fifth time on Thursday, his office provided this transcript of the speech he gave in the statehouse that day.
