Masons raise money for the Starksboro Fire Department

The monthly charity breakfast that was held on Sunday, June 14, at the Masons’ Lodge in Bristol raised over $1,500 to assist the Starksboro Fire Department

At some point in the not-too-distant future, the Ferrisburgh Volunteer Fire Department could change from being an independent nonprofit entity to a department operating under the town of Ferrisburgh’s municipal umbrella.

The Vergennes City Council backed a request from the city fire department to tap the department’s Ray Davison Fund, which is not taxpayer money, for $25,000 to buy a used pickup truck from the Williston Fire Department.
