Mixed bag in school budget voting; 4 pass, 2 fail

Residents of Addison County’s largest and smallest school districts approved their fiscal year 2027 public education budgets on Tuesday. But two school budgets on the southern end of the country did not pass.

Increased spending on student support services make up the bulk of the difference between the FY26 and FY27 budgets.

The Lincoln School Board last week unanimously adopted FY27 budget proposal to send to voters that reflects $5,407,140 in total expenditures — a 4.4% increase over the current year.
