DAR mansion to hold an open house this Saturday

A free open house will be held at the DAR’s John Strong Mansion in Addison on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and again from 2 to 3 p.m.

North Country Honor Flight honors Villeneuve

The Seth Warner – Rhoda Farrand Chapter of the DAR hosted two leaders of the North Country Honor Flight when they came to honor former Vergennes resident Jerry Villeneuve, a Korean veteran, who made the flight last fall.

Coffey named DAR Teacher of the Year

Rebecca Coffey, a Social Studies teacher at Vergennes Union High School, has been named not only the chapter American History Teacher of the Year, but also the DAR Vermont American History Teacher of the year.
