Summer basketball camp on tap

The annual Mayhem Basketball Camp, cosponsored by the Middlebury Mayhem AAU Basketball Program and the Middlebury Parks & Recreation Department, will be held in the Middlebury Recreation Center off Creek Road, between July 24 and 28. 

Boys’ hoop stars named

A dozen Mount Abraham, Middlebury, Vergennes and Otter Valley union high school boys’ basketball players received postseason recognition from either the Lake Division or the Southern Valley League.

The host Middlebury College men’s basketball team dominated the second half of Friday’s first-round NCAA Division III tournament game against Worcester State in rolling to a 76-51 victory.
