Celebrate Starksboro this weekend

Starksboro’s 250th Celebration Week continues with events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

“What was the tipping point that turned colonists into rebels and protest into violent revolution?”

The July 12 event will celebrate the milestone with a focus on the “Four Freedoms” outlined in Roosevelt’s 1941 address.

America’s founding document will be read in four places in Addison County

The program’s topic is “What Were You Thinking Philip Schuyler, Benedict Arnold, and John Trumbull?”

“Return of an Army” is meticulously designed using contemporary letters, journals and drawings to reflect the conditions of 1776 and is the centerpiece of Fort Ticonderoga’s full season of 250th anniversary programming.

The program encourages community members to visit some of the historic sites around Addison County.
